Job Description We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Reservations Agent, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests by managing bookings, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth reservation process. What you will be doing: Handle all reservation requests using effective listening and communication skills to secure necessary information Provide detailed information about hotel services, facilities, room rates, and availability Process bookings, modifications, and cancellations efficiently using the reservation system Work as a team to achieve set monthly KPIs Upsell room types and additional services to maximise revenue Take a positive problem solving approach with guest complaints and enquiries in an efficient and professional manner Maintain accurate records of reservations, deposits, and guest information Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction Stay updated on hotel policies, promotions, and pricing strategies Assist in inventory management by monitoring room availability Contribute to achieving departmental goals for average rate and occupancy. Qualifications You will excel in this role if you have: Minimum of one year experience as a Reservations Agent or Receptionist in a 5-star or luxury hotel High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in hotel reservation systems Opera or strong PMS experience is required Excellent customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of the Brisbane area and local attractions (preferred) Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
