Job Description Oaks Auckland Hotel is looking for a full-time Reservations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service from behind the scenes. You will play a vital role in managing and coordinating all aspects of the reservations process. From individual bookings to corporate and group stays, your attention to detail, organisation, and communication will ensure a smooth and efficient guest journey before they even arrive. Key Responsibilities Include: Coordinate all aspects of the reservation process, from enquiry to confirmation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Act as the primary contact for group and corporate bookings, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Report directly to the Hotel Manager, keeping them informed of all reservation activities and trends. Support and train front office staff on reservation procedures and systems to ensure consistency and accuracy. Upsell hotel services and offerings during the booking process to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue. Assist the front desk team with guest service as required. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and greater operational efficiency. Ensure all health, safety, and security protocols are followed in line with company policy. Shift Details (subject to change): Full time position Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm Qualifications Successful candidates will have: Previous experience in a reservations or front office role, preferably within a hotel environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with Opera (preferred). Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with guests, clients, and team members. A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with a high level of organisation and attention to detail. A confident and approachable personality with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
