Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Imperial is a world Top 10 university with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. The Reservations Team of the Property Division are responsible for optimising bookings and occupancy in our Guest Accommodation activities on our South Kensington Campus. Through these activities, they create a valuable source of revenue for Imperial, which in turn supports our academic community of world leaders in the provision of Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Business Management, Research and Teaching.
You will be responsible for maximing revenue and profit of accommodation through effective systems, pricing, inventory, yield, and revenue management. You will manage the reservations and bookings to deliver a high-quality guest experience.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

You will also be responsible for revenue management, under the direction of your Line Manager, to achieve targets for ADR and occupancy across the summer season. This will involve implementing daily availability adjustments to the distribution channels, booking extranets, retail, and allocation systems to ensure up-to-date availability and inventory control with the purpose of maximising revenue and profitability for each residence.
You will monitor the performance of different distribution channels, including direct bookings, global distribution systems, online travel agencies and metasearch engines, to determine which are performing best and what their return on investment is.
You will support the Guest Accommodation Manager to lead the operations including recruitment and induction of temporary staff. This will also include acting as a contact for all internal and external suppliers, handle contract negotiations and ensure H&S regulations are met and maintained.
