We currently have an employment opportunity for a full time Reservations Sales Agent to join our team.
Shifts will be daytime hours only, on a mix of weekdays and weekends.
The chosen candidate would be responsible for the inputting of guest reservations, including the handling of group bookings, group blocks, VIP’s and incoming reservations from the internet.
The position reports directly to the Reservations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1 Year previous Hotel Front Office / Reservations experience;
  • Proven Experience using the Opera Cloud PMS system
  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and display sound business acumen while delivering the highest levels of customer service;
  • Internet and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge;
  • Detail oriented and numerical aptitude is a must;
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures;
  • A Post-secondary education in a tourism or hospitality field is an asset;

Responsibilities
  • Input reservations by telephone, email and fax;
  • Answer incoming reservation calls in a friendly, efficient and professional manner;
  • Knowledge of sell rates, packages and groups available for any given dates when guests inquire;
  • Assist Reservations Manager with group reservations, coordinating and completion of tasks relating to groups, including entry of rooming lists, room assignments, creating group masters and maintaining group blocks, etc.;
  • Process pre-payment for reservations and packages and ensure all package items are delivered;
  • Maintain consistent communication flow between Reservations and Front Desk;
  • Maintain guest history in the property management system and ensure all relevant departments are aware of special requirements/requests;
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely and complete manner;
  • Complete daily filing and ensuring work areas are kept tidy and organized.
