JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Respond to all reservation requests in a professional and engaging manner, with the goal of converting each inquiry into a confirmed booking by adhering to the hotel’s selling strategy. Ensure all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks are completed accurately for every reservation, and update information promptly in the property management system. Collaborate closely with the Reservation Manager to achieve these objectives.
  • Provide training for all new agents and facilitate on-going training plan for each team member maintaining the appropriate training records accordingly
  • Ensure information and training material is accurate, kept up-to-date and accessible to the team
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed by the Reservation Agents as outlined in the shifts
  • Have an understanding of the department goals and projections for average rate and occupancy levels
  • Respond to all telephone call enquiries in an engaging manner whilst also adhering to the hotels call standards with the aim of converting the enquiry into a booking
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Opera property management system and the relevant sections of the SynXis central reservation system.
  • Have working knowledge of the Online Travel Agent and wholesale extranet sites sufficient to access reservations details in order to input reservations into the property management system and verify bookings as part of an arrival check.
  • Fluent in both English & German with strong communication skills
  • Proficient in using the Opera property management system and the relevant sections of the SynXis central reservation system.
