Position Summary: The Tennis Pro Shop Reservations Supervisor is someone who is will take reservations for court times, clinics, private lessons and other tennis activities. The Reservations Supervisor may also assist guests with merchandise, promote new products, and handle sales transactions and accounts for Governor’s Club Membership dues and hours. The Supervisor will also assist the Manager-Buyer in overseeing all events, individual and group reservations, as well as training of additional staff.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education – High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must have an outgoing and pleasant personality and enjoy working with people.
  • Computer and POS experience preferred.
  • Basic retail experience required; management experience preferred.
  • Friendly, patient, and pleasant demeanor are all essential.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.
  • Must work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds across short-medium distance.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping.
Responsibilities
  • Work behind the check-in counter completing sales transactions and reservations for instructional programs and special events, while providing gracious service to customers at all times.
  • Assist the Manager-Buyer in the purchasing, receiving, pricing, and stocking of the tennis merchandise.
  • Greet and welcome all guests and ensure they feel welcome.
  • Utilize Point-of-Sales(POS) programs for sales transactions and Reservation programs for reservations of court times, special events, and instructional programs.
  • Complete daily checklists for opening and closing the Tennis Pro shop.
  • Help maintain an organized and neat workspace, including computerized court sheets and upkeep of pro shop, daily vacuuming and general clean up.
  • Assist with the receiving, pricing, and stocking of tennis merchandise and equipment for the shops.
  • Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory level and par level for high-turnover items.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory.
  • Assist with reservations for individual guests as well as reservations for contracted group guests.
  • Possess knowledge of the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond standards.
  • Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
  • All other duties as assigned.
