JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Reservoir Engineer is responsible for evaluating oil and gas reservoirs to optimize production and recovery. They analyze geological and engineering data to estimate reserves, forecast production, and design development plans. Responsibilities include reservoir modeling, simulation, and performance monitoring to enhance field recovery and ensure cost-effective operations. Collaboration with geologists, drilling engineers, and production teams is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct reservoir simulations and modeling
  • Estimate hydrocarbon reserves
  • Design and implement field development plans
  • Monitor reservoir performance and make optimization recommendations
  • Support drilling and production operations with technical input
  • Experience in participating in technical reviews & able to provide technical assurance on technical works /analysis.
  • Capable of preparing Standards and Guidelines for the Company
  • Experience in provision of Training on subject matters
  • Min B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 15 years of Reservoir Engineering experience, with input into the Field Development Planning process and asset technical assurance in PSC/JV environment, experience in subsurface operations including surface modelling would be an advantage.
  • Experience in all geological depositional environment would be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in exploration, producing assets, implementing WRFM plans, operational drilling support, well and reservoir integrity and well lifecycle management a plus.
  • Proficient in reservoir simulation tools (PETREL, tNAV, CMG or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Integrated Production System Modelling (GAP, MBAL & PROSPER).
  • Proficient in conventional & modern decline analysis, well & reservoir management, pore pressure prediction, well test design & interpretation, production forecasting and reserves assurance.
  • Experience in field development planning (FDP), economic evaluation and reservoir management plans.
  • Experience in design of rock laboratory analysis. (RCA, SCAL, fluid analysis).
  • Technically involved in minimum 5 CCUS projects worldwide. Involved in Malaysia CCUS projects would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in participating in technical reviews & able to provide technical assurance on technical works /analysis.
  • Experience in provision of Training on RE subject matters.
