Description Job ID AH9946-2305-1925 Position Classification FT Administrative Hourly Position Summary The oversight of Shiple Hall. Including but not limited to: RA supervisor, Conduct Hearting Officer, After Hours Duty response, community development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Organize and facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings, individual meetings with the director, individual meetings with staff members and Residence Life meetings. Provide leadership to an area staff in the achievement of the programmatic goals and objectives of that area with supervision of hall staff. Serve as a judicial hearing officer for Residence Life. Serve as on call staff for Residence Life on a rotation basis for nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, coordinate and support for emergencies and serious incidents. Assist with the overall departmental functions: Including office operations, staff selection and training and development, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, recognition, and evaluation. Assist in the professional staff responsibilities of all residential openings and closings. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Education - A college degree or four to eight years of work experience in a related field. Employment - Six months to two years (Equivalent combination of education and employment). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ability to objectively problem solve, crisis response, and diplomatically help others solve problems. Regular interaction and support of first year students is required. Physical Requirements Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10pounds). Work Environment Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings. Salary/Pay Information Commensurate with experience Anticipated Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Some nights and weekends. The position does have on-call responsibilities. Additional Information This is not a traditional office job, but involves evening/weekend hours. Flexibility in hours will be needed.
