Home and Community Supervisor The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion provides a range of supports and services to people with developmental disabilities. Our Home and Community services is looking for a supervisor to oversee a supported living home. This role works with people who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Supervisors at BACI oversee a team, leading and coaching staff and working directly to with residents to ensure a good life for the people who receive full supports in their home. Position: Full-Time Residence Supervisor Salary: $33.77/hour Hours: 37.5 hours/ week Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:30AM - 3:00PM, flexible hours required Education & Qualifications: * 3-5 years in direct support in the Community Living Sector * Previous experience in a supervisory position * Bachelors degree, or Diploma in Human Services or related field. An equivalent of education and experience will be considered. * Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required. * This position requires First Aid, TB screen/ self-assessment, Vaccination status disclosure including COVID-19 Vaccination.  Roles & Responsibilities: * Support people served to identify the goals which will move them on the path to lead their ideal life * Create and maintain support plans. * Coach staff to understand and implement the principles of person-centered thinking and doing * Coach staff on implementing goals and measuring progress. * Work collaboratively with staff, families, people supported, professionals and community members. * Manage a staff team which includes training and evaluating staff performance, as well as ensuring a positive workplace dynamic. * Budget, schedule, and organize the home Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to provide direct support to the people served while training, supporting, evaluating and coaching staff to work successfully in the home and in the community. * Knowledge of the principles of person-centred supports, positive behaviour supports, communication supports and proven ability to implement and provide on-going evaluation and subsequent revision of support plans. * Understanding of the changing needs of people and the ability to implement plans which are responsive to those needs. * Proven ability to dialogue, plan, interact positively and work collaboratively internally with all levels of the organization and with people supported, networks, external professionals. * Commitment to on-going quality improvement and good organizational skills. Ability to orient, train, coach, lead and evaluate staff performance, manage budgets, organize schedules, complete payroll duties, and document appropriately. Must be comfortable with ADP Workforce Now, Time and Attendance and able to process timecards. * Must have initiative, conflict resolution skills and good written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computers required. * Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team.
