Requirements What You’ll Do As our Resident Activity Director, you’ll be the heartbeat of community life—designing and coordinating activities that nurture mind, body, and spirit. You’ll: Plan, organize, and lead fun and engaging group and individual programs tailored to residents’ interests. Build relationships with residents and families to ensure personalized, meaningful experiences. Networking - Partner with local organizations, volunteers, and community groups to bring new opportunities into our community. Maintain an active monthly calendar of events that inspires participation and connection. Support residents’ emotional and social well-being while promoting dignity, independence, and joy. What You Bring A heart for older adults and a passion for helping others thrive. Creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm for bringing people together. Knowledge of activity planning, social engagement, and community outreach. Experience in social or recreational programming — especially in senior living or healthcare settings. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED. Required: Valid IL Driver's License and vehicle insurance. Ability to work well with an elderly community. Experience with community engagement, whether in a professional or voluntary setting. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to work well in a group setting. Work Hours & Benefits: •Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM. •Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; 401k plan; paid time off (PTO) based on longevity; holidays off. •Compensation: $18-$22 per hour, BOE.
