Maintaining accurate and complete records of care. Performs all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies. Communicates and interprets the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver. Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents. Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents. Report and document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty. Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered. Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed. Participates in life enriching activities for our residents. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care. Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality. Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly. Must be mature and career minded. Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the State of Illinois is a plus
Responsibilities
Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, and toileting in accordance with physician orders and administrative policies. Maintain accurate medical records and report changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff.
