Apply today and help us create a vibrant, caring community where residents feel valued and supported every day.    Location: Village on the Park Plano, an Assisted Living senior community   Shifts Available: PRN Pay Range: $16.50/hr. - $17.50/hr.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging as much independence as possible. * Serve meals in the dining room or residents’ apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration. * Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships. * Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions. * Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties. * Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls. * Know each resident’s location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located. * Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers. * Attend all required in-service training sessions. * Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team. * Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High School diploma or GED required. * 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail. * Understanding of HIPAA requirements.   EOE/M/F/D/V
