Description Job Summary: Cumberland Village is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Assisted Living team. The Resident assistant will assist our residents with daily living activities at Cumberland Village Assisted Living Community. Supervisory Responsibilities: · None. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides residents with assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, transferring, toileting and dressing, as needed, and reports any changes in condition to Wellness Director. Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning and doing laundry; providing companionship, personal care, and help in adjusting to new lifestyles. Performs health care-related tasks such as taking vital signs, under the direction of the Wellness Director. Completes daily documentation. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance. Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers; transports patients and equipment as appropriate. Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of Residents. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Min. of 1 year experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Responsibilities
The Resident Assistant provides assistance to residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. They also perform housekeeping duties and health care-related tasks under the direction of the Wellness Director.
