Resident Assistant   Hillside Heights Health & Rehabilitation Center is part of the Volare Health portfolio of long-term care skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation centers located in multiple states. The ideal candidates must be able to tactfully handle difficult situations and be adaptable to the resident’s needs.   Pay: $17/HR   Schedule: On-call   Responsibilities: * Support residents to and from scheduled appointments (pushing wheelchairs and provide fluids) as needed. * Assist in scheduling and transport for appointments following admission. * Assist residents with their activities of daily living, encouraging residents on their personal cares such as: oral care, personal hygiene, nutrition, and personal appearance. * Set up personal care items for residents (toothbrush/toothpaste, comb, brush, etc.). * Assist residents with applying, removing, cleaning and storage such items as glasses, hearing aids, etc. * Assist residents with dressing and grooming, consistent with weather conditions and according to their needs, wishes and desires. * Support resident’s participation in activity programs, assisting them (when needed) to the activity location and encourage participation in the activities. * Respond to call lights but do not perform any direct patient care – referring to such requests to the CNAs/Nurses. * Assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment. * Ensure residents have water and snacks in accordance with their dietary restrictions, if any. Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other employees to deliver excellent customer service to all. * Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English. * Basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company software. * Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.
