Kāhala Nui, considered Hawaiʻi’s premier senior living community, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team. POSITIONS SUMMARY: Assist residents with their ADLs to ensure that they are receiving person-centered care and service. Follows the direction of the licensed nurse, Director of AL/MS, ADON and/or DON. Works with residents living in Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Support (MS) as assigned and on a rotating basis. May be assigned to work on the Nursing Unit if certified as a CNA. Note: This position does NOT require a Hawaii CNA license and does NOT provide relocation assistance. Evening and Night shifts receive a shift differential pay. SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: * Typical Shift: DAY (6:00AM - 2:30PM); EVENING (2:00PM - 10:30PM) * Must have flexible availability to work day and evening shifts as needed. * Must be available Sunday through Saturday, including weekends and holidays. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with residents and families. * Ability to follow care plans, policies and safety procedures. * Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely, including standing, bending and prolonged walking or standing. * Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations. * Proof of valid CPR AED and First Aid certification. PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: * 100 hours of nurse's aide training or Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate preferred. * Previous experience in caregiving, resident care, assisted living, healthcare, or a related field. * Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or memory care residents. Responsibilities
