RCC. ACMA  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RESIDENT CARE OVERSIGHT * Oversee and coordinate daily resident care services to ensure quality, dignity, and safety for all residents. * Ensure care plans are implemented appropriately and updated as residents’ conditions change. * Monitor residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional status and communicate concerns to the appropriate parties. * Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and outside providers as needed. Staffing and Scheduling * Develop and maintain caregiver schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times. * Monitor staffing patterns and adjust schedules to meet resident acuity and operational needs. * Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of caregiving staff. * Monitor attendance and ensure coverage for call-offs or vacancies. Leadership and Supervision * Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to caregivers and medication technicians. * Promote a positive team environment focused on compassionate dementia care. * Conduct training, coaching, and performance feedback for care staff. * Address staff performance concerns and participate in disciplinary action when necessary. Regulatory Compliance * Maintain knowledge of applicable state regulations, memory care standards, and community policies. * Ensure documentation, care delivery, and staffing practices meet regulatory requirements. * Assist with regulatory surveys, inspections, and audits. * Ensure all staff complete required training and certifications. Quality Assurance * Monitor quality of care through observation, documentation review, and staff feedback. * Participate in incident review, corrective actions, and performance improvement initiatives. * Ensure infection control, safety practices, and resident rights are consistently upheld. Family Communication * Serve as a point of contact for families regarding resident care concerns or updates. * Support family engagement and education related to dementia care practices. ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in memory care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred. * Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. * Working knowledge of state assisted living and memory care regulations. * Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to lead staff while promoting compassionate, resident-centered care.
