Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and technical staff Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during construction Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and technical submittals Implement and maintain quality control and safety procedures on-site Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently Coordinate with local authorities and ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and regulations Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction engineering/management, with 10+ years preferred Professional Engineer (PE) registration highly desirable Valid driver's license Proven experience in managing engineering and technical staff Strong knowledge of construction management, inspection, and field support techniques Familiarity with local and federal funding requirements in the UAE Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery Proficiency in construction software and project management tools In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Innovative mindset with a customer-focused approach to project delivery Experience with quality control and safety procedures in construction projects Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
