PROFILE/SKILLS
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant field of expertise within railway infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, AREMA, AASHTO, BS, etc.).
Proven proficiency in reviewing design and construction drawings, technical specifications, and other engineering documents.
Strong familiarity with construction techniques for railway bridges, including segmental, precast, box girder, and steel bridges.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience working in the GCC region is required

Oversee all site activities related to bridges and structures (viaducts, underpasses, overpasses, retaining walls, etc.), ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and relevant codes and standards, while leading a team of engineers and inspectors to ensure effective supervision and quality control throughout construction.
Ensure materials and workmanship meet the quality requirements. Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, inspections, and test plans specific to bridge and structural works.
Liaise closely with contractors, sub-contractors, designers, PMC team members, and client representatives on all issues relating to bridge and structural works.
Identify potential construction and interface problems early, propose and implement effective technical solutions, and escalate critical issues promptly.
Monitor the progress of bridge and structural works against the approved schedule, and lead the preparation of regular progress, quality, and safety reports for the PMC, corporate management, and the client.
Review and recommend approval of structural designs, construction drawings, as-built records, material submittals, and test results relevant to bridges and structures.
Assist in evaluating contractors’ claims, variations, and payments in relation to bridge and structural elements.
