Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction projects. Lead and coordinate on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with project agreements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Minimum 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer, with a focus on large-scale buildings projects with minimum 15 years overall experience. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Dubai, UAE Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements Knowledge of contract management and oversight practices Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
