Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. As a key member of our construction supervision team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction projects. Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations Collaborate with project team, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness Ensure compliance with Kuwait construction standards and practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering Minimum 20 years of experience and 5 years as a Resident Engineer, with a focus on large-scale projects Valid membership with the Kuwait Society Engineers (KSE) Strong contract management and oversight skills Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Kuwait Familiarity with Kuwait construction standards and practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Business Line: Energy and Sustainable Cities Type of contract: Permanent contract Service Line: General Engineering Region: Middle East and South Asia Job Family: Site Supervision Profession: Construction Supervision and Surveying
