Job Description Act as the primary on-site electrical engineering representative for the project. Review design drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for electrical systems. Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, vendors, and client teams to drive progress and resolve technical issues. Monitor installation works including LV/MV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution units (PDUs), busways, grounding, lighting, and ELV systems. Ensure all electrical works comply with local authority requirements (Suruhanjaya Tenaga, MS standards) and international standards (IEEE, IEC, NFPA, Uptime Institute). Conduct regular inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and installation methods. Review and close out NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Oversee testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems, including functional testing, load bank testing, and integrated systems testing (IST). Review commissioning documentation, procedures, and schedules. Support the final handover process, including verification of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and training for operations teams. Identify potential electrical risks, design issues, and site conflicts early and recommend corrective actions. Monitor adherence to site safety standards, especially for high-voltage and live electrical environments. Prepare accurate daily/weekly progress reports, site memos, and technical assessments. Track design changes, site instructions, and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 10 years of electrical engineering experience, with project experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or semiconductor plants. Strong understanding of HV/MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, diesel generators, grounding, earthing, fault protection, and electrical redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).
