POSITION OVERVIEW

We require a Resident Engineer with more than 10-15 years of UAE work experience in the Engineering Consultant. Knowledgeable in structural assessment, repair, and strengthening. This role involves supervising site works, managing structural assessment programs, ensuring compliance with design and repair methodologies, managing contracts and claims, and coordinating with all stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with codes, project specification, and authority requirements. No repair experience, no need to apply.

• Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day construction, repair, and retrofitting activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
• Contract & Claims Management: Administer FIDIC or similar contracts, review contractor claims, and issue variations as needed.
• Client Coordination: Act as primary contact for clients, addressing technical queries and providing regular progress updates.
• Authority Liaison: Work with local authorities (DDA, DM) for site inspections, approvals, and certifications.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, maintaining comprehensive records of site activities and contractual correspondences.
• HSE Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and handle any site-related hazards or incidents swiftly.
• Lead day-to-day supervision; chair coordination and IR/ITP hold-points.
• NDT interpretation and structural assessment methodologies
• Manage contractor interface, RFIs, NCR/CAR close-out, and quality records.
• Coordinate with design team for clarifications and repair detail updates.
• Protect operations: enforce noise/odour windows, access/egress, and safety.
• Sign off inspections; maintain as-builts and weekly progress reporting

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10-15 years in construction supervision & contract administration (FIDIC)
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and claims management.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, IBC, and DM repair standards.
• Proficiency in NDT interpretation and structural assessment methodologies
• DM approval (G+12 or unlimited) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience with concrete repairs in occupied assets/hotels
• UAE authority interface (DM/DDA) familiarity preferred
