Position Title: Resident Engineer – Infrastructure

JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, a renowned engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer – Infrastructure to lead a prestigious waterfront development located on an island in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have a strong background working with consultants and a proven track record in executing large-scale infrastructure projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
  • Strong experience working with engineering consultants on infrastructure projects is mandatory.
  • Proven expertise in waterfront and island infrastructure developments is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of Abu Dhabi regulations and authority requirements (ADM, DOT, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Must be currently based in the UAE and available for a site-based role.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED33,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Infrastructure project : 10 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Act as the site lead representative for all infrastructure works including roads, utilities, drainage, street lighting, and marine-related services.
  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate between contractors, sub-consultants, authorities, and the head office to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct inspections, monitor progress, and ensure that construction is progressing as per the approved schedule and budget.
  • Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, materials, and work procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site issues to avoid delays and rework.
  • Maintain proper site records including daily reports, progress tracking, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Lead regular site meetings with stakeholders and prepare detailed reports for the client and senior management.
