Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Engineer for our Structures Package (Bridges) project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will serve as the on-site engineering representative, overseeing the construction and quality assurance of bridge structures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in structural engineering, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex construction activities while ensuring compliance with design specifications and local building codes. Conduct daily site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved design drawings, specifications, and quality standards Analyze structural components and construction methodologies to verify compliance with engineering plans and safety requirements Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and construction records Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions Perform quality control testing and verification of materials, concrete strength, steel reinforcement, and structural connections Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and construction schedules for structural elements Identify and document any deviations from design specifications and recommend appropriate solutions Maintain organized records of all site activities, test results, and correspondence related to the bridge structures package Communicate technical findings and project status updates to project management and stakeholders Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements in Saudi Arabia Qualifications Minimum 12 years of professional experience as a resident engineer or site engineer on bridge or major structural projects Strong knowledge of structural design principles, bridge engineering, and construction methodologies Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or equivalent tools Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Comprehensive understanding of structural design codes, construction standards, and quality assurance protocols Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Demonstrated experience in site supervision, quality control, and construction management Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification in structural engineering (preferred) Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes and local construction regulations (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Proficiency in technical report writing and documentation Business Line: Transportation Type of contract: Permanent contract Service Line: Urban Transport and Urban Development Region: Middle East and South Asia Job Family: Site supervision Profession: Site Engineer I
