About the role Techno is seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to cost, progress, and quality controls, and will work closely with contractors, laboratories, and relevant authorities to deliver the project in compliance with all specifications and standards. The Resident Engineer will play a leadership role, coordinating on-site activities, guiding compliance efforts, and providing essential reporting and documentation throughout the duration of the project. What you'll do Serve as the lead site representative during all construction activities, including the Pre-Construction Meeting and ongoing project meetings. Coordinate lane closure requests and utility protection requirements with contractors and relevant parties. Review all materials, certifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Oversee testing processes and results, instruct testing labs, and approve related invoices. Conduct daily inspections to monitor work quality, safety, and contractor adherence to schedules. Maintain comprehensive digital project documentation, including worker logs, equipment usage, photos, and field reports using the CapEx Manager system. Prepare and approve monthly Certificates of Payment and contract Change Orders. Create cost estimates and negotiate contractor pricing for supplemental or revised work. Monitor and update progress schedules, including reviewing and advising on CPM timelines. Review ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) facility plans and ensure all relocation/protection requirements are met. Submit all required documentation to the Authority including the Fiber Optic Cable Contract Document Review Certification (Form FOC 2/22/00) and Construction Products List (CPL). Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer or NICET Level IV Certification, or a minimum of 10 years of construction experience (with at least 5 years in a Resident Engineer role). Deep knowledge of construction methods, testing procedures, and contract management. Proficient in construction documentation, scheduling, and cost estimation. Familiarity with utility coordination, “One Call Law” protocols, and ETC infrastructure requirements. Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. Experienced with CapEx Manager or similar digital project management systems. Ability to document field conditions with photography and narrative reports. Comfortable working on-site full-time throughout the life of the project. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
