Description
Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for a QC Inspector/Inspection Coordinator to be based at the supplier’s site in Massa area. The inspector will be side by side with Lead Inspector/Expediter to oversee, manage, and coordinate QC Inspection Activities/Expediting Activities relevant to the Turbo-Compressor Trains and Auxiliaries for the projects. The ideal candidate should have a good background for rotating equipment Projects, experience in projects coordination, good knowledge of typical applicable documents and expediting experience. Responsibilities Perform inspection activities at EPC premises and EPC sub-vendor’s premises. Support Lead Inspector to plan, coordinate, and provide instructions/documentation to local inspectors on the base of applicable Notification for Inspections. Liaise daily with the vendor’s quality team and internal stakeholders to address findings, agree on actions, and monitor their closure. Support Lead Inspector to maintain accurate records (punch-lists, reports registers, shared folder data), issue reports, and review local inspector’s reports. Ensure compliance with Project QC requirements and US regulations, NFPA, ASME, and other relevant codes and standards. Proactively identify quality risks and work collaboratively to implement preventive measures. Participate in internal and external quality meetings and provide technical input as required. Minimum 7 years of experience in inspection and Projects follow-up (preferably turbo-compressors trains). Knowledge of US codes and standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, AWS), scope application, and ability to consult them. Fluent in English (spoken and written); Italian language is a plus. Availability to attend activities and Meetings at EPC facilities (Tuscany area) but also at sub-vendors (Italy and abroad). Preferred Qualifications Degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. NDT Qualifications and Welding Inspector Qualification are a plus. Familiarity with mechanical and E&I (preferred) scopes is desirable.
