Description

We are excited to be recruiting for three brand new Resident Liaison Officer (Retrofit Advisor) roles at Pobl. These are the first of their kind in our organisation, giving you the chance to help shape how we support residents through energy improvement and decarbonisation projects in their homes. These roles are all about people. Making sure residents feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the retrofit process. You’ll be the link between residents, our internal teams, and contractors, helping to make homes warmer, greener, and more energy efficient.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

We are looking for individuals with customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to support residents with different needs. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and it is essential that you complete PAS 2035 Retrofit Advisor training within a reasonable timeframe. A full driving licence and access to a car are required.
This role suits someone who enjoys helping people, explaining technical information clearly, and working on sustainability projects. Experience in energy, retrofit, or construction is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided, including the required PAS 2035 certification.

WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THE ROLE?

  • A unique opportunity- Be part of the very first team of Retrofit Advisors at Pobl, shaping how this important role is delivered.
  • Meaningful work- Directly support residents to understand and benefit from improvements that make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
  • A people first focus- This role is about listening, building trust, and making complex information clear and accessible.
  • Skill development- Whether you bring customer service or technical experience, we’ll support you to grow in both areas.
  • Team support- With three new roles, you’ll join a small team starting this journey together, learning from and supporting each other.
  • Future focused- Work on projects that contribute to tackling climate change and creating sustainable communities.

WHERE DOES THIS ROLE FIT IN?

As a Resident Liaison Officer (Retrofit Advisor), you will:

  • Be the main point of contact for residents before, during, and after retrofit work in their homes.
  • Work closely with the Asset Management, Housing Management, and Project Delivery teams.
  • Support residents with clear explanations of what is happening, when, and how it may affect them.
  • Provide practical guidance on how to get the most from new energy systems (like solar panels, batteries, or heating upgrades).
  • Help identify and support residents who may need extra assistance during the process.
  • Monitor resident feedback and environmental data to ensure projects deliver the best results.
  • Contribute ideas to improve how we deliver retrofit projects in the future.

You will not manage a team but will play a central part in making sure projects run smoothly and residents feel confident every step of the way.
