RESIDENT MANAGER (LIVE-IN POSITION)

Job Type: Casual, Parttime, Permanent
Schedule: On-Call
Compensation: Base compensation with additional commission pay
Location: On-site residency required
Start Date: Position to be filled by September 1st
We are currently seeking a Resident Manager for a smaller building within our property portfolio. This is a live-in position and is ideally suited for a responsible individual, couple, or two-person team with strong communication and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable using email, texting, and taking photos via smartphone
  • Prior experience in property management or maintenance is an asset
  • A Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required prior to final hiring
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $25,000.00-$30,000.00 per year
    Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
    Work Location: In person
    Expected start date: 2025-09-0
Responsibilities
  • Show available units to prospective tenants and collect rental applications
  • Collect rent payments and issue receipts when required
  • Deliver notices and other official communications to tenants as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and surrounding property
  • Report maintenance issues and other concerns to the Property Manager
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including completion of condition reports
  • Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries and concerns
  • Work effectively with contractors, tradespeople, and service providers
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, including laundry rooms and outdoor grounds
  • Perform seasonal maintenance such as snow shoveling and basic lawn care
  • Conduct minor building upkeep, including changing light bulbs or minor repairs
  • Serve as the liaison between tenants and property management
  • Use a smartphone/computer for communication, documentation, and photo sharing
