Description Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking a safety-minded Resident Mine Technician based out of their Vernal, UT location. This full-time benefited position will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. Night shift 6:00pm -6:00am 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule Duties & Responsibilities: Utilize TRACK and safe working habits in all aspects. Resident Mine Technician - Simplot Phosphates - Vernal, UT Mine Site. Perform Field Service troubleshooting and repair on all CAT equipment. Willing to work out of towns, overtime and weekends when needed. Maintain Field Service Truck and Company provided equipment. Maintain and complete daily reports, paperwork, MSHA standards and inspections. Required Qualifications: Must have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25). Must be safety conscious with a clean safety record. Willingness to comply with Customer and MSHA requirements. Journeyman technician classification. Good working knowledge of CAT equipment. Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safely with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining expectations of thoroughness. Must have excellent communication and customer service. Work a customized shift (7 on, 7 off) at the discretion of your supervisor. Schedule subject to change at any time. Preferred Qualifications: Residence in the Vernal UT, area (not required to live in the area). Have all tools required for field service repair. Willing and have the ability, to keep up with new technology. Willing and able to work overtime, nights and weekends. Field Service experience with Caterpillar dealership experience. Efficient using Cat ET and SIS. Responsibilities
The Resident Mine Technician will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, specifically CAT equipment. This includes performing field service troubleshooting and repair, maintaining the field service truck, and completing daily reports and inspections.
