Piper Companies is seeking a Resident Network Engineer, to join a leading technology organization that builds networking and cybersecurity solutions. The Resident Network Engineer will support and troubleshoot Juniper network systems, ensuring secure and efficient network operations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE RESIDENT NETWORK ENGINEER INCLUDE:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and implementing networking and security solutions in LAN, WAN, or internet service environments.
  • Strong command of Junos CLI and experience with Juniper SRX Series firewalls, including clustering and high availability setups.
  • Deep understanding of IP networking protocols and routing technologies such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and IPv6.
  • Proven expertise in network security practices, including firewalls, NAT, DDoS mitigation, IPS/IDS, and application-level security.
  • Skilled in configuring and operating Juniper routers, firewalls, and switches, with exposure to EX and MX Series devices.
  • Experience working in large-scale service provider environments, including NOC/SOC operations and network monitoring tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers and Juniper support teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Act as the technical point of contact between the customer and Juniper’s engineering teams.
  • Diagnose and solve complex network problems using data analysis and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance on deploying and configuring Juniper products to align with design standards.
  • Optimize network performance and security using Juniper firewalls and the Junos operating system.
