Today, as part of Ottobock.care, we continue that legacy-combining the strength of a global innovator with the relationships and responsiveness of a a local clinic.    We have a Resident opportunity at our Limerick/Royersford, PA clinic. Our residencies represent an important continuation of the education process as well as a glimpse into the day-to-day working environment of O&P practitioners at Ottobock.  New practitioners apply the knowledge they have learned in a supervised real-world setting. You will be exposed to optimal patient care and learning of clinical and business information.Duties & Responsibilities Help deliver quality orthotics and professional services in relation to patient care.   Assist in actual fabrication as may be needed to assure, quality, fit function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient need.   Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.   Instruct patients in use of device.   Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.   Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.   Maintain all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete each day.   Achieve and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes current "state of the art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis.   Identify and create improvements to processes to promote efficiency and productivity.   Adhere to all safety regulations; compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; compliance with bloodborne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.   Comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA responsibilities.  Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.   Qualifications Clear communication skills both verbal and written. Work effectively with a wide range of people, including vendors, suppliers, providers, co-workers, and management. Exhibit strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and use of good judgment in resolving issues. Ability to work collaboratively and participate with a team approach. Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists, and patients. Self-motivated and detail oriented. Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion. Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in resolving issues. Proficient computer skills; Proficient in MS Office and databases. A valid driver’s license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle; must have a reliable vehicle; maintain automobile insurance in accordance with state law. Successful completion of a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and 10-panel drug screening. Master of Science in prosthetic and/or orthotic program completion required.  Thorough understanding of the principles of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.  Knowledge of componentry and its suitability and reliability for specific uses  Comprehension of medical terminology  Proven active listening, reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts, and correspondence. Responsibilities
