Description

As a Resident Physician at Ang Mo Kio - Thye Hua Kwan Hospital (AMK-THKH), you will be a part of a dedicated team of Medical Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, and Medical Social Workers, and work under the supervision of senior doctors to provide first-line clinical coverage to patients admitted to our community hospital for rehabilitation or subacute care.

Responsibilities :

  • Conducting ward rounds and handling acute medical issues
  • Clerking new patients and preparing discharge summaries
  • Performing ward procedures and staying on-call during night shifts
  • Involving in Quality improvement projects
  • Participate in patient care conferences, unplanned discharge rounds, mortality and morbidity rounds, and multidisciplinary rounds

Requirements :

  • A medical degree recognised by Singapore Medical Council (SMC )
  • Please check your eligibility on the SMC website before applying
  • Full registration with SMC, or be eligible for conditional registration. You can check Conditional Registration eligibility criteria online
  • Possess at least 3 years of post-housemanship working experience as a Medical Officer (or equivalent)
  • Experience in family medicine, geriatric medicine, or rehabilitation medicine preferred but not a prerequisite, or have a keen interest in these disciplines
  • Possess post-graduate diploma or degree would be an advantage
  • Currently be in active clinical practice
  • Team player with a passion for caring for the elderly, good bedside manner and patience
  • Positive mindset, collaborative and willing to go the extra mile
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
