This role combines safety, welfare, customer service, and community engagement. You’ll become part of a close-knit residential environment where your presence, professionalism, and communication skills can genuinely make a positive impact. Full-time & Casual opportunities are available, primarily across evening and night shifts, across multiple locations. What You’ll Be Doing Building positive relationships with students through friendly and professional engagement Providing after-hours support and responding to student wellbeing concerns Conducting presence-based walkthroughs focused on safety and support rather than enforcement Assisting with student lockouts, general enquiries, and access to onsite amenities Coordinating with emergency services or on-call security where required Recording incidents, welfare concerns, and shift updates within reporting systems Supporting student engagement initiatives and community-building activities Liaising with university stakeholders, residential life teams, and onsite management Completing light administrative and concierge-style responsibilities Who We’re Looking For Experienced Security Officers seeking a more community and welfare-focused environment Professionals from backgrounds such as allied health, education, community services, youth work, multicultural support, hospitality, customer service, or student support who are willing to obtain a Security Licence (guidance can be provided for suitable candidates) You’ll thrive in this role if you: Communicate with empathy, professionalism, and confidence Remain calm, approachable, and solutions-focused under pressure Enjoy helping people and building strong community connections Want to contribute to a meaningful and socially impactful environment Have experience in customer-facing or support-based roles Are confident completing written reports and using IT systems Are eager to learn, grow, and develop professionally What You’ll Need: Current State-Based Security Licence (mandatory) Current First Aid & CPR Certifications (mandatory) Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), or willingness to obtain Current Working with Children Check (mandatory) Willingness to undertake Trauma Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid training Why Join CONSTANT?
