As a casual Resident Support Worker (RSE) at KGM, you oversee frontline activities, ensuring a safe environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. From assisting residents with basic needs to supporting their transition, you play a vital role in upholding our core values of respect and dignity. Your contributions have a profound impact on the lives of those we serve, embodying the essence of our organization’s mission and values. Bay Ave operates an Overdose Prevention Site with supervised consumption.
THE CASUAL POSITION INCLUDES 3 DIFFERENT SHIFTS - DAYS, EVENINGS AND OVERNIGHTS ($1 PER HOUR PREMIUM FOR OVERNIGHTS).
Bay Ave shelter: 7am to 3:30pm; 3pm to 11:30pm; 11pm to 7:30am
Key Responsibilities
Handles the admission, orientation and evaluation of residents’ understanding of rules; ensures ongoing enforcement of policies;
Performs other related tasks as required.
Position Requirements
Specialized training and certification in mental health, addiction, counselling or trauma is an asset;
This position is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (Vulnerable Sector).
