Are you an experienced property law solicitor with expertise in both residential and commercial property matters? Our client, a leading law firm renowned across the South of the UK, as they expand their Real Estate Team with a Residential and Commercial Property Solicitor. The firm offers remote opportunities. Permanent role, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities in Residential and Commercial Property Law Independently manage a varied caseload of both residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, development and re-financing projects. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of property documents, such as contracts, leases, licences, agreements for lease, and transfer documents in accordance with current legal standards and best practice. Provide clear, expert advice to a broad client base, including private individuals, investors, landlords, tenants, developers, and business owners at all stages of the transaction process. Liaise proactively with clients, agents, surveyors, financial institutions, solicitors, and all third parties to ensure efficient progression and completion of property transactions. Undertake due diligence including investigation of title, review of searches, drafting and presenting reports on title, and addressing any issues or defects as they arise. Implement compliance with SRA, AML, GDPR and all relevant regulations, maintaining meticulous and up-to-date records within the firm’s case management system. Identify, assess, and manage legal risks throughout transactions, providing practical solutions and maintaining a high level of client care. Support the wider property team through knowledge sharing, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to team training and development. Essential Skills and Experience for Residential and Commercial Property Solicitors Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with demonstrable experience managing both residential and commercial property files independently in private practice. In-depth understanding of UK residential property law and commercial property law, including leases, acquisitions and disposals, and development work. Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, delivering commercially driven, accurate advice. Proven organisational abilities, able to efficiently manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines. Outstanding client communication skills, delivering a high standard of service and building strong client relationships. Skilled in the use of legal IT systems, case management software, and Microsoft Office applications. Approachable, team-oriented, and proactive in professional development and keeping up to date with property law.
