St. Christopher’s Service provides a comprehensive, efficient, and innovative service to people with intellectual disabilities. It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential. We are looking for staff who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our mission and national standards, underpinned by quality and best practice and research.

QUALIFICATION:

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications and/ or experience:

• Each candidate must, at the latest date for receipt of completed applications for the post have the following
• A minimum ordinary Degree (QQI Level 7) in Nursing/Applied Social Studies/ Social Care/ other qualifications may also be considered
• Have at least 5 years post qualification experience in a similar setting (preferably in the intellectual disability sector), at least 3 of which must be at a Management/ Supervisor level.
• Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level with at least degree level attained in education.
• Have an appropriate Health/Social Care Management Qualification at a minimum of QQI Level 6

EXPERIENCE

Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities and behaviours of concern.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role
