SKILLS

  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of caregiving techniques for individuals with disabilities or special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or autism.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health condition, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
