In addition to performing the primary duties as a Cook, staff members may be asked to assist with various other tasks including caregiving or housekeeping to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents. This collaborative approach requires flexibility, a willingness to adapt, and a commitment to providing comprehensive support across different areas. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to multiple aspects of facility operations and assist wherever needed to create a positive and enriching environment for our residents. Plan and prepare nutritious meals for residents, taking into account any dietary requirements or restrictions. Ensure that all meals are cooked and served on time. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area. Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Provide support in housekeeping and resident care on occasion or as needed. Requirements Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a residential care facility or assisted living setting. Ability to prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and restrictions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to provide support in housekeeping and resident care on occasion or as needed.
