DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

  • Certification in medication administration
  • Experience supporting people with dementia or disability
  • Additional aged care or health support qualifications

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this hands-on role, you’ll support our residents with daily living activities in a way that values their dignity, comfort, independence, and wellbeing. From personal care and mobility support to helping with meals and providing companionship, your work will contribute to a home-like environment where residents feel respected, heard, and safe.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care
  • Assisting with meal delivery and supporting residents who need help eating
  • Observing and reporting any changes in health or behaviour to clinical staff
  • Helping residents with safe transferring and mobility
  • Encouraging independence and maintaining a calm, caring, and respectful environment
  • Participating in basic wound care and medication support (if appropriately certified)
  • Keeping accurate documentation of care provided
  • Promoting resident safety, choice, and wellbeing at all times
