JOB ADVERT: EXPERIENCED CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER (RSW)

Location : Keighley, West Yorkshire
Service : Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home
An opportunity has arisen for experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers (RSWs) to join a residential home that caters to children aged 6 to 17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mild Learning Disabilities (LD). The service supports mixed-gender residents with a dedicated staff ratio of 1:1, and the home is Ofsted rated as “Good,” with a goal of achieving “Outstanding.”

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a residential children’s home is essential.
  • A minimum Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviour professionally.

Responsibilities

With an experienced Registered Manager boasting 17 years in the field, this role offers a structured and supportive environment for passionate and dedicated individuals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support young people in everyday tasks, activities, and their personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Attend and support children in meetings with social services and health services.
  • Ensure high standards of documentation, reporting, and recording.
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with complex needs, ensuring personalised care.
