In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing apartments and residential units for new tenants or guests — ensuring each space is spotless, fully stocked, and move-in ready. Schedule: Varies Job tasks include, but are not limited to: Responsible for cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, and disinfecting all aspects of residential, apartment, and short-term rental environments. Sweep, mop, and polish all hard floors using appropriate cleaning supplies. Vacuum carpets and rugs, including edges and corners. Clean and disinfect baseboards, walls, door frames, handles, light switches, vents, and air returns. Wipe and clean windowsills, tracks, blinds, and frames, and clean glass both inside and outside where accessible. Clean and stage all rooms, ensuring furniture, décor, and linens are properly arranged and move-in ready. Empty and wipe cabinets, drawers, and closets inside and out. Clean and disinfect kitchen areas include countertops, sinks, backsplashes, cabinet faces, and appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, and range hoods. Scrub and deodorize sinks and disposals and clean behind and beneath appliances when accessible. Clean and disinfect bathrooms include sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, faucets, mirrors, and grout lines, removing soap scum, mildew, and hard water stains. Sweep and mop bathroom and kitchen floors with disinfectant. Clean laundry areas by wiping washer and dryer exteriors, cleaning lint traps, and sanitizing floors and walls behind units. Clean entry doors, knobs, and frames, sweep and mop entryways, balconies, and patios, and remove cobwebs and debris. Replace HVAC filters and light bulbs as needed. Use odor neutralizers or air fresheners and air out units for freshness. Remove all trash and replace liners, ensuring no debris remains. Conduct a final visual inspection for smudges, missed areas, and overall presentation before sign-off. Report any broken, damaged, or non-functioning items to the supervisor for prompt repair. Complete turnover checklists verify that all cleaning, staging, and restocking tasks are finished before unit sign-off. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements and Qualifications: Prior experience with apartment turnover or short-term rental cleaning is preferred. Must frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day. Able to follow instructions, learn new techniques, and adhere to safety standards. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must maintain a positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must demonstrate proactive time management and the ability to complete full turnover cleans within scheduled time windows. Must have strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Material and Equipment Used: Must be familiar with standard cleaning supplies, tools, and chemicals. May be required to operate laundry equipment, small appliances, vacuums, carpet cleaners, or steamers. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently, bend, climb stairs, and move furniture or appliances as needed. Requires extensive standing, walking, and repetitive motion. Must be able to perform detailed cleaning in varied environments and occasionally work in tight or elevated spaces. Candidate must have reliable transportation, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and be willing to submit to a background check.
