A highly regarded and award-winning law firm in Dorset is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Fee Earner or Licensed Conveyancer to handle a busy and varied caseload, while contributing to the growth and success of a modern and client-focused practice.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The firm is looking for an ambitious and commercially aware fee earner who is confident managing their own files and committed to delivering excellent client service.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer
  • Solid understanding of residential conveyancing processes, including Land Registry procedures
  • Proven experience managing a personal caseload
  • Strong drafting, organisational, and file management skills
  • IT literacy and familiarity with case management systems
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will manage a profitable caseload within the Conveyancing Department, delivering high-quality legal services while supporting the Head of Conveyancing in operational and business development initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients across a full range of residential property matters
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, regulatory standards, and firm-wide risk management systems
  • Draft accurate and legally effective documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain well-organised, compliant, and up-to-date files in line with the firm’s quality standards and Law Society requirements
  • Proactively manage caseloads, monitor progress, and meet billing and performance targets
  • Appropriately supervise and review work delegated to support staff
  • Liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties to ensure excellent client care and communication
  • Engage in the marketing and profile-raising of the department and the firm through networking, client relationships, and community involvement
  • Contribute to departmental growth and participate in business development activities
  • Uphold the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, and conduct in line with firm values
