This is a pivotal role where you will oversee a dedicated team of conveyancers, ensuring high-quality service is delivered to clients, while managing the workflow, staff development, and maintaining a collaborative team environment. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience in residential conveyancing, with at least 5 years of experience within the field.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of property law and the conveyancing process.
  • Strong client service skills, with a client-first approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Legal qualifications (e.g., Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective management of case loads, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior and senior conveyancers, promoting professional development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate team meetings to promote collaboration and communication.
  • Case Management:
  • Manage your own caseload of residential property transactions, ensuring a high standard of service delivery from start to finish.
  • Oversee complex or high-value transactions handled by the team, offering support and expertise when necessary.
  • Ensure legal documents are prepared accurately and that the process complies with all regulations and guidelines.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their queries are addressed efficiently and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders in the property process.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Identify areas for improvement within the conveyancing process and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure that team members are up to date with all relevant legal changes, best practices, and firm protocols.
  • Monitor performance metrics and help identify strategies for continuous improvement in the conveyancing process.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure that all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and firm-specific requirements.
  • Monitor and manage risks, ensuring that processes and cases adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards.
