RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE TRUCK DRIVER LOCATION: DOUGLAS, GA JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Residential Garbage Truck Driver to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating garbage trucks to collect residential waste and recyclables, ensuring timely and efficient service to our community. RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate residential garbage trucks safely and efficiently along designated routes. * Collect household waste and recyclables according to company and local regulations. * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning. * Maintain accurate records of routes, pickups, and any incidents. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members. * Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies. * Assist with loading and unloading waste containers when necessary. * Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly. QUALIFICATIONS * Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. * Clean driving record with no recent violations. * Previous experience driving heavy trucks or garbage trucks preferred. * Ability to operate vehicles safely in various weather conditions. * Physical ability to lift and handle waste containers as needed. * Strong attention to safety and detail. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
