Description Description Northpointe is a Community Mental Health (CMH) organization providing services to individuals with serious mental illness, emotional disturbance, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual/developmental disabilities across Iron, Dickinson, and Menominee counties in the UP of Michigan. Northpointe itself was established in 1995 but has roots as a CMH dating back to 1964. Our presence can be found through remote emergency services, in school and home-based programs, and in clinical and residential home settings. Job Purpose The Residential Manager supervises and manages a home for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or a mental illness to ensure delivery of high quality and safe care in a comfortable home environment is provided. The Residential Manager shall ensure licensing and other regulatory requirements are followed. Job Duties and Responsibilities A review of this description has excluded the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by the supervisor. Essential Duties Assists clinical staff in planning, implementing, and monitoring each individual's individual plan of service. Advocates for and ensures that the rights of each individual are protected. Supervises and balances expenditures for each individual's personal funds. Coordinates and implements a staffing schedule, meetings, individual appointments, and training. Oversees and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Completes necessary paperwork in a timely manner, including monthly residential occupancy report, employee infection control form, manages performance indicators data sheet, petty cash data sheet, bills, etc. Maintains compliance with the budgetary guidelines set for the home. Directly supervises residential support specialists and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Participates in interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Plans, assigns, and directs work duties. Conducts performance evaluations and implements corrective/disciplinary action as appropriate. Addresses concerns and resolves problems. Advocates for residents and serves as a liaison for communication with guardians and other members of the care team. Requirements This position will actively support the mission, vision, and values of the agency. Education, Certifications, and/or Experience LPN or minimum 5 years of experience with management or supervisory roles within a healthcare setting Minimum of one year experience working with individuals with I/DD and MI required. Experience working in a licensed adult foster care preferred. Minimum of one year experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred. Valid driver's license.
