We are seeking a motivated and experienced House Manager to join the Waratah Care Cottage team. The Waratah Care Cottage program delivers quality residential care across the Greater Western Sydney area, caring for children and young people while a kinship, foster care, or other carer-based placement is identified.
ISS deliver all programs in strong partnership with internal and external service providers.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The House Manager leads a team of carers to create a therapeutic living environment for children and young people.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Residential House Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a team of carers to deliver trauma informed care tailored to the developmental needs of the child/young person.
  • Designing and implementing daily routines and planned strategies
  • Managing budgets and the day-to-day operation of the unit including staff rosters
  • Supervising and coordinating individual support services and direct care for residents including health, education and community participation strategies
  • Building and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders involved in the care and support of children and young people
  • Incident management including review of incident reports and activity reports.
