The location of our Malvern Treatment Centers - Philadelphia recently relocated to 3905 W. Ford Philadelphia, PA 19131. Malvern Treatment Center - Philadelphia provides inpatient treatment for up to 108 patients providing both detoxification (21 beds) and rehabilitation (87 beds). This program provides a unique treatment experience that incorporates evidence-based treatment approaches, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) options, and a trauma-informed milieu, which includes supportive, professional staff and a peer interaction process that fosters growth. The Residential Manager position is a full-time opportunity and is a newly created leadership position. This role is benefit eligible in regards to health, dental and vision coverage plus paid time off! The primary responsibility of the Residential Manager is to manage and supervise shift supervisors in provision of direct patient care and support services. Ultimately this individual is responsible for oversight of the shift, the supervisors working that shift and ultimately the Clinical Aides working that shift. Promotes the safety/wellness and well-being of patients. Summary of Essential Position Functions: Leads the clinical aid staff with the support of the shift supervisors in continuing to improve the clinical culture of the hospital by upholding and modeling Malvern’s Four Pillars Oversees the staff schedule for the shift supervisors and ultimately the clinical aids with the assistance of the shift supervisors Ensures that policies and procedures are being followed accurately and implements and maintains new processes as they are developed or changed Runs regular staff meetings to address departmental issues and to provide supervision Assists with providing performance improvement plans and corrective actions as needed for clinical aid staff and keeps up with follow through Responsible for hiring of clinical aids and shift supervisors as needed Manages the daily scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage on the units, makes sure breaks are being covered Shift supervisors will be responsible for receiving call outs for their respective shifts, but the Residential Manager will assist with finding coverage Works with the shift supervisors to provide performance improvement plans and corrective actions and provide staff support as necessary Completes incident reports in a timely manner May assist in setting up outside appointments while patients are in treatment (ex. Setting up dental, social security, ID appointments, etc) Serves as a liaison between the admissions, nursing, and clinical departments Performs administrative duties so that Shift Supervisors can provide more hands on, real time mentoring with the clinical aids Intervenes in the therapeutic process with patients who need more clinical support Attends and participates in all required meetings and trainings Maintains all required documentation. Education and/or Experience: A Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree (with 2 years relevant experience) or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field (with 5 years relevant experience); or a degree as a Registered Nurse License Practical Nurse preferably with previous leadership experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel with ease. Requires walking and standing often. Requires frequently speaking on the telephone. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
