Position Title: Residential Manager - Mother & Baby Unit
Location: G’s Children’s Community (GCC)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Overview:
G’s Children’s Community (GCC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Manager to lead our specialised therapeutic mother and baby facility. As a specialist therapeutic residential unit for six mothers (aged 18 and over) and their babies, under the service model GCC. Therapeutic Homes– Nurturing Beginnings. The home will offer a structured, 12-week trauma-informed and psychotherapy-led programme to support vulnerable mothers in developing safe, responsive parenting and to promote the wellbeing of their infants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations and GCC policies.
- Lead, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care for residents.
- Collaborate with external professionals, families, and agencies to ensure a holistic and tailored approach to each mothers needs.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans, integrating individual therapy sessions, educational activities, and art facilities to promote emotional and cognitive development.
- Facilitate weekly therapy sessions for children to enhance their emotional well-being and personal growth.
- Engage children in practical activities such as growing vegetables, promoting responsibility and teamwork, and fostering an appreciation for nature.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of service delivery, outcomes for children, and the effectiveness of programs in place.
- Actively participate in community outreach to foster positive relationships and integrate GCC into the local community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A registered Social Worker or possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Services with specific experience in children’s care homes.
- Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, OFSTED requirements, and safeguarding policies and practices related to children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
