• Proven experience in mortgage underwriting or mortgage advising within a brokerage or lender environment.
• Strong understanding of residential mortgage products and lender policies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical requirements clearly to clients.
• Proficiency with Finmo, Google Workspace, and CRM tools preferred.
• Collaborative approach with a client-first mindset.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to support the lead Mortgage Advisor from the application stage through to funding. The successful candidate will be responsible for file setup, underwriting analysis, lender submissions, and fulfillment, ensuring that clients experience a smooth and professional journey from application to closing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and review mortgage applications and supporting documents in FINMO.
• Verify income, down payment, credit, and property documentation.
• Identify gaps and request additional information or documentation.
