Responsibilities

We are looking for a part-time Legal Assistant to join the Residential Property department at our Chippenham, working three days per week (21.75 hours).
Previous experience of working in a conveyancing assistant or support role is essential as you will need to be able to deal with a wide range of tasks associated with the conveyancing transaction. You will need to have excellent IT and typing skills and have the confidence to liaise with clients over the phone and face to face.

Daily duties will include:

  • Compiling letters/documents, audio typing, completing standard forms and photocopying
  • Opening files/database input
  • Diary management to include arranging meetings and appointments
  • Assisting with clients and receiving/making telephone calls
  • Setting up and managing the electronic transfer of funds
  • Taking incoming calls as part of Central Telephony
  • Reception cover
  • Helping out with general office duties as and when required
